History

ANFEN’s a network formed in 2000 at the initiative of UNICEF, dedicated to supporting adolescents facing academic failure. This initiative aims to provide vulnerable young people with the necessary resources, education, and support to overcome their challenges and achieve their full potential.

Objectives
  • Unify: Foster a team spirit to advance the network, encouraging collaboration and unity among all centres to achieve shared goals.
  • Train: Seek new strategies and opportunities to enhance learning in the centres, continuously improving educational methods and outcomes for the students.
  • Organise: Promote common extracurricular activities across the network, providing diverse and enriching experiences that go beyond the classroom.
  • Motivate: Initiate tailored programmes to help adolescents navigate their way into the professional world, equipping them with the skills and confidence needed for future success.
Main achievements
  • Introduction of Inclusive Pedagogy: Implementing inclusive teaching methods in the centres to ensure all students are supported.
  • Curriculum Development: Creating a comprehensive curriculum tailored to the needs of the adolescents.
  • Extracurricular Activities: Organising sports days, excursions, exhibitions, and concerts for both adolescents and facilitators to enhance their overall development.
