Breast Cancer Care
We provide comfort, care, and support to breast cancer patients through intensive awareness campaigns, free doctor consultations, and therapies. Additionally, we offer care and comfort during numerous activities held at our centre in Vacoas and through visits to chemo patients in hospitals. We distribute free prostheses, wigs, compression sleeves, and mastectomy bras to those in need. Our centre also serves as a host-house for patients from Rodrigues.
Our future projects include an empowerment project and a pink bus project, both of which are currently awaiting funding.
Accreditation Number with the National Social Inclusion Foundation: NCSRF/2017/0100
We offer Yoga and Zumba sessions to our beneficiaries.
Currently, we support around 100 members who are patients followed by the Breast Cancer Care (BCC).
Breast Cancer Care was established based on the personal experiences of its President, who herself had battled breast cancer. After participating in Talia's Pink Month campaign in 2013 and associating her image with breast cancer awareness, she decided to create Breast Cancer Care alongside a group of supportive individuals. Their mission is to address the increasing incidence of breast cancer in Mauritius and Rodrigues.
Our mission is to break the taboo surrounding breast cancer and provide sufferers with a second chance. We aim to empower breast cancer patients through awareness, support, and comprehensive care.
