Eco-Sud
Eco-Sud Mauritius is dedicated to raising public awareness and educating the community about ecological issues. Through various programmes and campaigns, the organisation aims to foster a deeper understanding and appreciation of environmental concerns among the public.
The organisation works to gather and mobilise a strong, engaged civil society committed to environmental conservation. By encouraging active participation from the community, Eco-Sud builds a robust network of supporters who contribute to environmental protection efforts.
By defending and saving endangered species and sites across Mauritius, Eco-Sud strives to protect the island's unique biodiversity and promote a balance between economic development, social progress, and environmental protection.

The association operates through two main forms of action:
- Advocacy and Awareness
- Education, Research, and Conservation Projects
In 2010, Eco-Sud established the Blue Lagoon programme with the objective of restoring and preserving the lagoon and coastal areas of Blue Bay and Pointe d'Esny. This programme has been a significant step in safeguarding these critical marine environments.
Eco-Sud Mauritius receives funding from both local and international sources.
