Laventure Technical School for the Disabled is dedicated to serving young individuals with intellectual and physical disabilities. We focus on addressing their physical, educational, and training needs, aiming to enhance their mental and physical health. Our goal is to improve their overall well-being, ensuring their social inclusion and fostering a supportive environment for their development.

Services offered
  • Activity 1:
    • Reinforcement of the physiotherapy massage and yoga unit through a special hydrotherapy pool.
    • Set-up of a greenhouse to provide employment opportunities for 10 underprivileged disabled youngsters.
  • Activity 2: Operation of the Special Education Needs School
    • Transportation to ensure safe and reliable transport for students.
    • Providing a nurturing and supportive environment.
    • Tailored educational programmes to meet the unique needs of each student.
    • Empowering students to gain confidence and skills.
    • Facilitating social inclusion and rehabilitation.
    • Reskilling to enhance life skills and employability.
  • Activity 3:
    • Providing therapeutic treatments using specialised equipment tailored to individual disabilities.
  • Activity 4:
    • Offering massage therapy administered by a trained massage therapist for those in need.
  • Activity 5:
    • Yoga training provided by a yoga instructor, customised to each student's capabilities.
  • Activity 6:
    • Woodcraft workshop where students manufacture various items under the guidance of an experienced woodwork instructor.

 

Beneficiaries: 65 students with various disabilities, including Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder (ADHD), Autism, Behavioural disorders, Cerebral palsy, Delayed Developmental milestones, Down's syndrome, Dyslexia, Epilepsy, Hemiplegia, Hydrocephalus, Learning Disability, Locomotor or orthopaedic challenges, multiple disabilities, Quadriplegia, Schizophrenia, Sensory Modulation Disorder, Speech and auditory disorders, and Visual impairment.

History

Founded on 25 September 2004 and officially registered in September 2005 (Registration number: 8842), Laventure Technical School for the Disabled has been committed to serving young individuals with intellectual and physical disabilities. Through a range of specialised services and programmes, the school aims to enhance their overall well-being, ensuring their social inclusion and personal development.

Main achievements
  • Establishment of a Special Education Needs School to provide tailored education to meet the unique needs of students with disabilities.
  • Hydrotherapy Pool: Introduced in 2016, this pool supplements our physiotherapy, massage, and yoga units, enhancing the physical therapy options available to students.
  • Greenhouse Project: Implemented to create employment opportunities for vulnerable young people with disabilities, promoting their integration and self-sufficiency.
