Link to life

Link to Life is dedicated to providing comprehensive support to cancer patients and their families. This support extends beyond hospital care and includes services at our two centres in Vacoas and Pamplemousses. We understand the challenges that come with a cancer diagnosis and strive to offer a compassionate and supportive environment for all those affected.

In addition to emotional and practical support, Link to Life places a strong emphasis on early detection. We offer screening services for breast cancer, cervical cancer, prostate cancer, and colon cancer. These screenings are available by appointment, ensuring timely and thorough examinations. Our commitment is to help detect cancer early, significantly improving the chances of successful treatment and recovery.

History

In 2002, a group of volunteers, most of whom had personal experiences with cancer, began meeting at the Floreal Women Centre on Saturdays. The association was officially established in 2003, and efforts were made to secure a dedicated centre. In March 2006, the government provided a building in Vacoas, and the centre has been operational since April 2006. A second facility was established in Pamplemousses in 2010.

Link to Life has been registered with the Registrar of Associations since November 2003. It is also a member of MACOSS and the Union for International Cancer Control (UICC).
