Lovebridge Mauritius

Lovebridge Mauritius supports target households through six fundamental pillars: children's education, housing, health, employment/employability, food/nutrition, and MASCO (Motivation, Positive Attitude, Skills, and Courage / Motivation, Attitude positive, Savoir-faire et Courage).

To support the parents and guardians of children enrolled in the Fortified Learning Extended Programme (FLE EP), the Lovebridge team offers assistance to families who wish to participate. Lovebridge intervenes within families to create an optimal home environment for the academic progress and personal development of the child, and indirectly, their siblings.

Services offered

A significant portion of a child's academic progress and personal development is nurtured within the family setting, and we understand that daily life can sometimes present challenges. To address these, Lovebridge Mauritius conducts home visits and provides collaborative support to parents and guardians. We also offer direct support to the children.

We adopt a holistic approach by identifying and addressing the specific needs of each child enrolled in the Fortified Learning Environment Extended Programme (FLE EP) and their families. Our team dedicates an average of 5 hours per month to each family, ensuring comprehensive and personalised assistance.

History

Since 2012, Lovebridge Mauritius has been working closely with families across the country to help them advance in these six pillars. We provide psychosocial support and guidance, assisting families in making decisions and taking actions that will have a positive impact on all family members.

Objectives

To support families in creating an environment conducive to the personal development and academic progress of children by adopting a holistic approach.

Main achievements

By the end of 2020, Lovebridge Mauritius was supporting over 600 school children. More than 50% of these children made academic progress directly due to Lovebridge's support and the active participation of their parents.
