Monad Charity
Monad Charity's primary mission is to combat poverty in Mauritius by offering educational activities, including workshops, events, and training sessions. During these workshops, beneficiaries have free access to professionals such as personal development coaches, lawyers, psychologists, social workers, and others. These experts provide guidance to help individuals overcome poverty.
In addition, Monad Charity provides food assistance to low-income individuals through our food (and clothing) bank, which is supported by donations. This initiative allows families living in vulnerable areas of Mauritius to receive free food during difficult times, thanks to the support of Monad Charity's donors.
Monad Charity also offers guidance, support, and capacity-building for families facing difficult and precarious situations, with the aim of empowering them.

Families in Vulnerable Situations: This includes families struggling to make ends meet in Mauritius, where parents often hold daily wage jobs such as housemaids, manual labourers, and others; dysfunctional families in Mauritius; and single-parent families in Mauritius.
Monad Charity began in 2020 during the lockdowns in Mauritius, driven by compassion and the desire to help. A group of dedicated young volunteers undertook the mission of providing essential food parcels, hot meals, and vital supplies to over 2,000 struggling families across the island.
In the face of the pandemic, oil spills, and floods, our commitment remained steadfast.
Today, as a formal NGO, Monad Charity continues to support numerous families regularly, promoting self-sufficiency and responding to emergencies with food aid, basic needs assistance, and more.
We believe in a society where every individual can thrive, and we work without bias to develop innovative and sustainable programmes that leave a transformative impact.
With an expanding network of volunteers, we share our journey through social media, raising awareness and amplifying positive change.
In the most vulnerable corners, we are not just an NGO but a compassionate presence offering unwavering support to those in need.
