The Trevor Huddleston Association for the Disabled

The Trevor Huddleston Association for the Disabled is dedicated to providing education, training, and care for children with disabilities and learning difficulties, particularly those from impoverished backgrounds. Our aim is to increase children’s access to specialised care for optimal growth and development.

 

Accreditation Number with the National Social Inclusion Foundation: N/1255

Objectives
  • To offer quality education, training, and care to children with disabilities and learning difficulties in Rodrigues.
  • To lead these children to social and economic independence as far as possible.
Main achievements
  • Gonzague Pierre-Louis Special Learning Centre: Located in Rodrigues, this centre conducts daily learning sessions (during term time) for 45 children, including 15 in the Pre-Primary Department.
  • Audio-Diagnostic Department: Provides specialised services for the hearing impaired.
  • Daily Canteen and Social Care: Offers meals and social support, including clothing and foodstuffs, to the children.
