Vent d'un Rêve
Vent d'un Rêve is dedicated to teaching children a variety of artistic and educational skills, including singing, playing musical instruments (such as violin, recorder, trumpet, and djembe), reading music, drawing, reading, and writing. Our programmes aim to enhance children's self-esteem, emotional intelligence, and emotional communication skills, while also fostering discipline, concentration, and mutual respect.
Accreditation Number with the National Social Inclusion Foundation: N/1623
- Food programme: As most of the children come directly from school, they are provided with a light meal before their classes.
Beneficiaries: Since its inception, Vent d'un Rêve has reached 217 direct and indirect beneficiaries. In 2018, as of March, the programme had impacted 140 direct and indirect beneficiaries. The reach and impact of the programme have continued to grow over the years, benefiting even more children and their families.
Association Vent d’un Rêve was founded in February 2011 thanks to Mr. Paul Olsen and Fondation Spectacles et Culture. Mrs. Merven, who had been teaching music to the children of Mangalkhan for fifteen years, initiated this project. A key factor in the project's success has been the involvement of the teachers and parents of Cité Mangalkhan.
To foster a sense of responsibility for the project, the Association was registered in February 2012 under the name “Vent d’un Rêve”. In April 2014, Vent d’un Rêve separated from Fondation Spectacles et Culture and was officially CSR registered (N/1623). A working team composed of teaching and administrative staff meets twice a month to ensure the smooth running of the school and to organise various activities.
The Managing Committee - composed of residents of Mangalkhan (including the mother of one of the children, an active social worker, and a young university graduate), two retired school headmasters, a musician, and an actuary who oversees the financial section - meets monthly to guide and advise the project. They focus on encouraging team building and ensuring that the Association is correctly structured and managed.
In 2012, the Association raised funds for the project through generous donations and CSR funding, which were primarily used for purchasing instruments and equipment and renovating the hall where project activities are based.
