Vacancy for Part Time NutritionistT1 Diams, the NGO providing multidisciplinary support to people living with Type 1 diabetes in Mauritius and Rodrigues Island is looking for a dynamic Nutritionist on a part-time basis.
Purpose of the consultancy:
To provide nutritional support to Type 1 diabetics of the association.
Responsibilities:
Ensuring that Type 1 diabetics are properly counselled on diet.
Develop nutritional information/ educational materials.
Facilitate group therapy sessions.
Develop standardised recipes of healthy meals and snacks suitable for Type 1 diabetics.
Participating in individual empowerment projects of our Type 1 members.
Food group education.
Profile of ideal candidate:

Excellent communication, analytic and listening skills

Proactive and self-directed person
Ability to adapt to all social strata and environment
Fluent in Creole, French and English
Ability to work in teams
Understanding of NGO dynamics
Qualifications
Degree in Nutritional Science or a related field
Contributor to ongoing nutritional research
Public speaking and outreach skills
