The Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) is looking for its Program Coordinator to keep on working towards the vision that all its beneficiaries can lead a good life with Muscular Dystrophy.
The MDA is a charitable association for people affected by muscular dystrophies, which are genetic diseases causing muscle loss and shorter lifespan.
MDA’s vision is to allow its members to live a good life with their disease, ensure they receive proper medical care, support families’ needs, raise awareness about musculae dystrophies and promote patients’ rights.

The program Coordinator
Key dimensions and responsibilities:
Patient care coordination:
- Ensure patients and families get access to appropriate care, equipment and services
- Liaise with medical practitioners/institutions and families to coordinate appointments and ensure continuity of care
- Liaise with medical suppliers to get access to medical equipment in due time and within budget
- Support members and their families in dealing with all the aspects of the disease - medical, psychological and educational
Communication & fund raising:
- Ensure the regular update of MDA’s communication channels (website, social media) and materials (brochures, etc.)
- Lead the coordination of MDA’s quarterly newsletter
- Support the design and implementation of awareness campaigns in partnership with pro-bono communication agency
- Support fund raising activities
Administration:
- Create/enhance data infrastructure and management with accurate and regularly updated patient information
- Create and maintain a medical practitioner register and network
- Support and coordinate the organisation of yearly events (AGM, EOY party, outings, etc.)
