We are hiring for the following positions:

 

1. Recovery Worker

 

 

Are you a driven individual who is dedicated to offering support and assistance to individuals dealing with addiction issues? This might be the ideal position for you.

 

Part of your experience should be in providing practical advice on addiction recovery and relapse prevention.

 

If you have experience or knowledge in the following: 

 

  • Knowledge of substance misuse and addiction, including understanding different substances, their effects, and the cycle of addiction.
  • Ability to conduct assessments and develop personalised treatment plans based on individual needs and goals.
  • Knowledge of evidence-based interventions and therapeutic techniques for substance misuse and addiction.
  • Understanding of relapse prevention strategies and the ability to help clients develop coping mechanisms.
  • Crisis management skills to handle challenging situations and provide appropriate support.
  • Knowledge of community resources and services for additional support, such as detoxification programs, mental health services, and housing

 Workdays:

  •  2 days per week (Jan 2025 - June 2025)

 

2. Psychologist (1.5 hours per week)

 

Are you committed towards empowering people and supporting their wellbeing?  This role might be just for you.  Ideally you will have experience with a broad range of conditions including addictions, behavioural concerns, anxiety, grief and loss, stress and trauma.

 

Experience and knowledge: 

 

  • Qualified & experienced psychologist (registered with AHPC)
  • Working with socially excluded individuals
  • Supporting individuals with emotional and/or behavioural difficulties
  • Supporting individuals with a history of substance misuse and trauma
  • Understanding of addiction and appropriate interventions 
  • Training in trauma focused interventions (desirable)
  • Fluency in Kreol

This opportunity would suit those with a flexible schedule and who are seeking new challenges, but with a small weekly time commitment.

 

Please note that this is a paid role, lasting approximately 6 months and includes prison-based delivery. Appointment is contingent upon obtaining the required security clearance.

 

 

3. Project Assistant (January 2025 - June 2025 - 1 day per week)

 

Do you enjoy working as part of a team to bring positive change?  Are you proactive and thorough in your approach? 

 

We are looking for a versatile individual with excellent organisational skills to assist us with our activities once a week in order to maximise our impact.

 

Requirements and Skills:

  • Experience of administrative work (beneficial) 
  • Working knowledge of office equipment
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Time management & prioritisation skills
  • Attention to detail and problem solving skills
  • Research and excellent communication skills
