Hope Rehab Centre is a project which has been set up in 2016 with the primary goal to empower children with difficulties. Our aim is to aid children to develop their autonomy in their daily activities (bathing, eating, dressing, toileting etc.) and life skills (cooking, reading, counting etc.) as well as explore and exploit their talents and potentials in various fields such as cookery, arts and craft, music, sports and information technology. Eventually, our aim is to contribute to the financial independence of the children when they will grow up.
Children with a mild to severe physical disability (cerebral palsy, spina bifida, multiple deformities...), and children with mild to severe cognitive / mental disability (dyspraxia, dyslexia, down syndrome, autism, ADHD...) constitute our main clients.
Hope Rehab Centre wishes to provide several services under one roof at a low cost. Many parents from middle and low social economic classes find it costly to benefit from the services of therapists and educators on a regular basis. Hope Rehab Centre guarantees a daily therapy and special needs education through interactive and fun games whereby the child will develop physically, mentally and socially.
It has been two years since we launched the center with our own means and since may 2018 we moved in a new building with the sponsorship of a local company. We proceeded to the setting up of various therapy rooms and employment of two educators, one occupational therapist and one carer. Regarding the therapies, a specific programme has been prepared for each beneficiary based on the disability.
Monthly contribution by parents and financing of MCB Forward Foundation.
