Between 3rd and 7th December 2024, 9 students with physical and intellectual disabilities from the Southern Handicapped Association (SHA) participated in the 25th International Convention on Students’ Quality Circle in Lucknow, India, organised by International Council for Physically and Mentally Challenged Students Quality Circle (ICPMCSQC).
With pride, courage and determination, the 9 students presented their case study on the challenges faced by people with disabilities in Mauritius to the world. They participated in debates and shows to share their powerful motto and advocated for inclusion, respect and equality.
This annual event is an opportunity for the students from all corners of the world to meet, learn, grow and embrace new perspectives. Debates, street plays and numerous competitions fill the 4-day event.
