About the Role:
We are seeking a dynamic, strategic, and experienced individual to lead CDS through its next phase of growth. The ideal candidate will be a visionary leader with expertise in non-profit management, policy advocacy, and programme development, with a strong commitment to substance use rehabilitation, harm reduction, and community empowerment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic leadership and oversight of all CDS operations, ensuring sustainability, growth, and impact.
- Develop and implement policies, programmes, and initiatives aligned with the Therapeutic Community model and international best practices.
- Strengthen partnerships with government agencies, NGOs, corporate stakeholders, and international organisations to enhance the NGO’s reach and funding opportunities.
- Oversee programme development, implementation, and evaluation, ensuring evidence-based practices.
- Manage financial planning, budgeting, and fundraising efforts, ensuring compliance with legal and financial regulations.
- Lead and mentor the CDS team, fostering a professional, ethical, and high-performance work culture.
- Advocate for policy reforms and community-based interventions to enhance drug prevention, treatment, and social reintegration efforts.
- Ensure strong internal governance, reporting, and compliance with national and international regulatory frameworks.
- Represent CDS at national and international forums, conferences, and stakeholder meetings.
Requirements:
- Master’s degree in Social Sciences, Public Health, Psychology, or a related field.
- 5-7 years of leadership experience in NGO management, social work, health services, or a similar field.
- Strong knowledge of addiction treatment, harm reduction strategies, and therapeutic community principles.
- Proven ability to develop and implement strategic plans, manage complex projects, and oversee financial management.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and advocacy skills to engage with diverse stakeholders.
- Demonstrated experience in fundraising, grant writing, and donor relations.
