In the context of its Community Development Program, Bioculture Cares is implementing two projects: the Benares Community Development Project and the Ferney Community Garden Project. Supported by a concise Action Plan for 2025, the Benares Project seeks to foster a safe and vibrant environment for all residents by offering a Family Financial Literacy Program, a Children Holistic Development Program, and a Leadership Program. The Ferney Project focuses on the empowerment of women in the southeast region of Mauritius, supporting them in developing alternative livelihoods through an Empowerment Program and skill-building in agricultural practices.
OBJECTIVE:
- To establish a robust framework to monitor and evaluate progress, effectiveness, and impact.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Create an output and outcome indicator Dashboard for the Benares Community Development Program.
- Develop an M&E plan aligned with Action Plan.
- Provide recommendations on creating and maintaining Databases.
- Develop Data Collection process and tools. • Design adapted reporting tools.
- Build the capacity of Social Workers to effectively use identified tools.

REQUIREMENTS:
The consultant should have:
- A degree in Social Science or other related field.
- At least 5 years of experience working with persons in situations of vulnerability.
- Exhibit the ability to work and collaborate effectively at community level.
- Possess pedagogical skills to train and guide social workers.
- Demonstrate proven experience in monitoring and evaluation frameworks and tools.
- Be proficient in beneficiary data management practices, adhere to ethical standards.
- Prior experience working on community development programs is preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Fluency in Mauritian Creole
HOURS AND FREQUENCY OF CONSULTANCY:
- This consultancy will require a minimum of 15 working days distributed across February and March 2025.
- Based on program needs, the consultant may conduct additional follow-up from April to December 2025.
