Flamboyant Education Centre is looking for a social worker in the Richelieu/Petite Rivière region as from January 2025.

Responsibilities: 

• Provide support to families facing social challenges.
• Conduct family assessments to identify social and environmental factors impacting children's well-being and academic performance.
• Develop individualized care plans (case management) in collaboration with children, families, and colleagues of Flamboyant Education Centre.
• Connect families with community resources, including counseling services, financial assistance, and social support networks.
• Advocate for children's rights and access to educational opportunities within the community.
• Facilitate support groups and workshops on topics such as parenting skills, conflict resolution, and stress management.
• Maintain accurate and confidential case records in compliance with professional standards and regulatory requirements. 
• Conduct Field Work as and when necessary. 
• Participate in team meetings, training, and workshops as and when required.
• Collaborate closely with the psychologist and the school manager.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in social work or related field.
• Experience working with children and families in a Non-Governmental Organisation.
• Knowledge of social welfare systems, community resources, and support networks.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
