To mark its 18th anniversary, on 14th October, T1 Diams released a new song entitled “Mo Larmé”. A song written and performed by 2 beneficiaries, namely Elodie Permalloo and Marvin Matthieu Ernest.
Mo Larmé talks about the struggles and difficulties experienced by people living with Type 1 diabetes in their daily lives. It also highlights the constant challenges in managing the disease, the resilience it takes to overcome moments of doubt and the solidarity that has allowed beneficiaries of T1 Diams to move forward together.
At T1 Diams the use of creativity such as music and drama among others has greatly contributed in raising awareness about Type 1 diabetes and has been more impactful among those who are not informed about it.
Additionally, the song aims at strengthening awareness around diabetes, encourage people to support local initiatives and to strengthen community’s commitment to inclusion and mutual aid.
